The StaffTorben Houlberg - Managing DirectorTorben qualified as a Chartered Accountant in London in 1974. After three years with Price Waterhouse in Copenhagen he took up the post of manager of the Portland office of Coyne Butterworth & Co and was offered partnership in 1979. After eight happy years on Portland he moved to the Weymouth Office and following the merger with Pearce, Clayton & Maunder, to Dorchester in 1995. Torben remains a partner of Coyne Butterworth & Chalmers in Weymouth. The Dorchester office of that firm was incorporated in 2003 as Coyne Butterworth (Dorchester) Ltd and following the association with Donald Reid & Co the name was changed to Coyne Butterworth Reid in March 2007. He is married to Tricia and lives in Abbotsbury, they have four children now all themselves established with families. | The Firm | |

David Gordon-Smith - Director David joined the practice of Donald Reid & Co as a partner after working at Ernst and Young within both the corporate finance and taxation departments and is now head of taxation services and corporate finance in Donald Reid & Co. He brings valuable experience to us in those fields. | ||

Daniel Reid - Director Daniel is the son of the founder of the Donald Reid & Co and joined the partnership in 2004 after training and qualifying within assurance and advisory at Deloitte and Touche in London. Daniel heads the accountancy and audit department as well as taking responsibility for the general practice management of the firm. David and Daniel were both made directors of Coyne Butterworth (Dorchester) Ltd (now Coyne Butterworth Reid Ltd) in November 2006 following the acquisition of an interest in the company. | ||

Peter Cattermole - Manager Pete joined the practice as manager in August 2007. He spent four and a half years at Deloitte & Touche in London, where he qualified as an ACA in the firm's SME assurance and advisory department. Pete has also spent two years working in the international internal audit department of Viacom Inc, a large multi-national media company. | ||

Linda Carruthers - Secretary and PA to Torben Linda joined the practice in August 2005 when Tracey (Torben's PA for 19 years) went on maternity leave (twins born August 2005) and now considers herself a well established member of the team. Linda has considerable administrative experience well suited to manage the office and all those working in it. | ||

Ben Murphy - Senior accounts clerk Employment commenced July 2000 as a trainee and Ben has since qualified as an Accounts Technician. He is currently studying for the ACCA and hopes to qualify as a Chartered Certified Accountant in 2008. He is responsible for payroll services and the Company Secretarial Services department. | ||

Ben White - Senior accounts clerk Ben joined Coyne Butterworth in July 2003 as a trainee after completing his A levels. Since joining he has completed the AAT qualification and is presently studying for the ACCA qualification. His responsibilities include the management and control of all our software applications and bookkeeping for some of our larger clients. | ||
